The Honda Ridgeline could best the 50,193 units that were sold back in 2006 to break its all-time sales record

The Honda Ridgeline is an automotive oddball as it’s larger and more expensive than the Ford Maverick and Hyundai Santa Cruz, but not as hardcore as traditional mid-size trucks due to its unibody construction.
This unique combination has largely been a curse as Ridgeline sales have been terrible for most of its existence. However, the truck is experiencing a resurgence and it’s now on track for an all-time sales record.
That’s based on the latest numbers, which showed Honda sold 4,133 Ridgelines last month. That’s an 11.2% increase from last October, when the automaker moved 3,866 pickups.

More tellingly, year-to-date sales are already at 43,701 units. That’s 20.8% higher than this time last year and those numbers are the best since 2007. That year, Honda sold 44,049 units and there’s no doubt the company will exceed that figure shortly.
This will put Honda on track to eclipse the 50,193 units that were sold way back in 2006, when the pickup was in its second year of production. That would be an impressive achievement, especially considering the Ridgeline spent years languishing with annual sales of less than 20,000 units.
The bump seems to be driven, in part, by the Ridgeline’s more rugged design that was introduced for the 2021 model year. Regardless of the cause, sales jumped from 32,168 units in 2020 to 41,355 units the following year and have been increasing ever since.
Putting sales aside, the 2023 Ridgeline starts at $38,800 and has a 3.5-liter V6 with 280 hp (209 kW / 284 PS). The 2024 model should be introduced shortly, but the automaker has already confirmed it will gain a new TrailSport trim. Spy photos have also suggested we can expect a mild facelift as well.
