A Young Woman Describes the Crisis in Gaza

Nour AlSaqqa, who is from Gaza City, has been documenting her life during the Israel-Hamas war. The New York Times last spoke to Ms. AlSaqqa when the war first started. Since then, she has fled south to Rafah, the Gazan city at the territory’s southern border with Egypt, after Israel warned Palestinians to leave northern Gaza to avoid airstrikes.

“When I say we have no water, I need people to comprehend that we spend days without drinking a single drop of water,” she said. “That’s how limited it is. ” She said she fears that if the shortages of basic necessities persist, she will die.
