During an earnings call, Aston Martin officials suggested the updated DBX will have a modern interior that echoes the DB12

Aston Martin recently held their third quarter results presentation and officials used the event to reveal a handful of details about future products.
First and foremost, the company confirmed their “second next-generation sports car” will be launched in the first quarter of 2024. That’s presumably the new Vantage, which will be equipped with a more traditional front end and larger headlights.
While the model is expected to be evolutionary, Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll said they’re expecting the car to receive a “resounding response” similar to the one given to the DB12. Stroll went on to say, “Commencing deliveries of our next generation of sports cars is a major milestone, marking the beginning of a completely new lineup of front engine sports cars that will reposition Aston Martin as an ultra-luxury high-performance brand, enhance our growth, and bring higher levels of profitability.”

Getting back to the DB12, the company revealed its launch was “temporarily affected” by supplier readiness issues and the “new EE platform that supports the fully redeveloped infotainment system.” Aston Martin said the problems have been resolved and that’s good news as the car appears to be a hit.
In particular, the company said orders now extend into the second quarter of 2024. Aston Martin also revealed 55% of DB12 buyers are new to the brand.
Officials also talked about the DBX and Aston Martin CFO Doug Lafferty noted orders are “running into next year.” However, customers might want to cancel those as Stroll revealed an updated DBX is in the works.
He didn’t go into many specifics, but said “The new infotainment, the new interiors, will continue along the line of DB12 and will be in the marketplace in the near future.” Stroll then reiterated much of that later in the call by saying, “In the near future, we will be … following up on the DB12 interiors with an updated version of [the] interior in our DBX. So we’re looking forward to touching [on] that in the very near future.”
As a refresher, the DB12 has an all-new 10.25-inch infotainment system. It’s lightyears ahead of the old Mercedes-sourced system and has a voice assistant as well as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
It’s also worth noting that Stroll implied the changes will extend beyond the infotainment system. The extent of the updates remains unclear but, if the DB12 is any indication, the crossover could be equipped with a new steering wheel, a minimalist shifter, modern switchgear, and higher quality materials.
