For aspiring sci-fi movie-makers maker on a budget, here’s your golden ticket. This nondescript sedan, located in Toronto, Canada, can be yours for a mere $5,000. It’s the ideal canvas for your intergalactic adventures, without breaking the bank on flashy props.
The vehicle was originally crafted for a 2016 sci-fi TV series on SyFy called “Incorporated” that only lasted for a year – yeah, we had to look it up as well. While you won’t spot the real-life prototype in the official trailer, digital mockups appear to confirm its authenticity.
The light-blue colored sedan is based on a sixth-gen Hyundai Sonata from 2012, but the extensive visual modifications have made it virtually unrecognizable from most angles. The only parts that retain their original shape are the greenhouse, the door shut lines, and the character line on the profile.. Everything else has been revamped, combining a minimalist look with futuristic touches.

The front and rear ends have embraced an aerodynamic aesthetic, saying farewell to conventional lighting units and cooling intakes. On the sides, you can’t miss the quirky light blue rims with their color-matching plates, giving off a futuristic hub motor vibe. However, the Hyundai Sonata is said to be in sound mechanical condition, as indicated by the Facebook Marketplace listing. The engine, most likely the 2.4-liter four-cylinder producing a respectable 197 hp (147 kW / 200 PS), and the transmission are claimed to be in working order. As for the odometer, it reads 64,000 km (39,768 miles).
The $5k price sounds reasonable for this unique-looking project car that could also be used as a source of spare parts for other Hyundai Sonatas. You could also turn it into a track car, though you would definitely need to make some changes including placing back the cooling intakes.
