Kimera Automobili, known for resurrecting the spirit of the Lancia 037 with the gorgeous EVO37 limited-production sportscar, is working on two new models. The updated EVO38 and the motorsport-inspired K-39 will debut in 2024, retaining the styling references to the Italian classic while introducing new and improved features.

Ahead of its participation in the Milano Autoclassica show, Kimera announced that the 37 planned units of the EVO37 are sold out, including the more powerful Martin 7 Edition one-off. Thankfully, the company also gave us more information about its future models which sound equally exciting.

Starting with the street-legal offering, the Kimera EVO38 is dubbed the “integrale” version of the EVO37. Unlike the RWD original, the new model will come with a four-wheel-drive setup, similar to the rally cars of the mid-80s. Judging from the teasers, the EVO38 won’t deviate much from the Lancia-inspired styling, looking like a facelift of the EVO37.

According to Kimera, the new model will feature a redesigned bodykit set to “improve airflow, weight distribution, and ventilation”. The interior will boast revised ergonomics and a “dedicated traction distribution management interface”. Mechanical changes will include a larger centrally-mounted turbocharger and a new exhaust system with vertical “chimney” pipes positioned under the rear wing.

Next up is the Kimera K-39, which is described as a “hyper-restomod” created for motorsport activities. This model was previewed by a 1:5 scale prototype, flaunting its longer body with pronounced aero components around the classic shape of the Lancia Beta Turbo. Kimera said that the K-39 is intended to take part in “one of the last legendary motorsport challenges” and could be produced in “a very limited number of units for a few lucky customers” featuring the traditional Martini Racing livery.

The new models will be previewed at the Milano Autoclassica show on November 17, ahead of their official premieres in 2024. Judging from the sold-out EVO37, it is safe to assume that the EVO38 and the K-39 will come with spicy pricing and limited availability.
