Peugeot has quietly introduced a new E-Traveller van in Europe and will offer it in a number of different configurations to meet the requirements of various passenger transport operators like hotels, shuttles, and taxi services.
The new Peugeot E-Traveller comes with both a standard length (4.98-meter / 16.3-feet) and a Long (5.33-meter / 17.4-feet) version, and shoppers can choose between a host of different 5 to 9-seat configurations. The most luxurious is the five-seater that features a lounge configuration with 4 independent seats facing each other. In this configuration, the E-Traveller offers 3,000 liters (106 cubic feet) of cargo space; opt for the 9-seater, and the new Peugeot will still offer an impressive 1,500 liters (53 cubic feet) of space for your luggage. Load volume swells to 4,900 liters (173 cubic feet) with just 2 or 3 people on board.

Two different battery packs have been designed for the van. The first is a 50 kWh pack that provides the E-Traveller with an estimated 224 km (139 miles) of range on the WLTP combined cycle. The larger 75 kWh battery is expected to be good for 350 km (217 miles). Both versions are driven by a single electric motor with 136 hp and 192 lb-ft (260 Nm) of torque. The van tops out at 130 km/h (81 mph) and offers 100 kW DC fast-charging support. This allows the 50 kWh version to charge from 5-80% in 38 minutes while the 75 kWh pack takes 45 minutes.
Much like other EVs in the market, the E-Traveller has paddle shifters on the steering wheel to choose between three levels of regenerative braking. It also has a 7.4 kW single-phase on-board charger and can be optioned with a more powerful 11 kW three-phase charger.
Peugeot has also made it look a bit more modern. with the front fascia revised with new LED headlights and a new bumper. The cabin gets a different dashboard with a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a large 10-inch infotainment display. Both wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto are supported and there is also a wireless smartphone charger on the center console.
Plenty of safety features also come standard. These include driver fatigue warning, traffic sign recognition, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, and different traction control settings for sand, mud, and snow.
