After a lengthy delay, Tesla has finally launched the Cybertruck. However, pricing has increased by up to $30,090 while the range of the flagship variant has plummeted to 320 miles (515 km). Those changes are hard to stomach, but thankfully there’s a cheaper option. Of course, there are a few caveats as we’re talking about the Cybertruck for Kids.

The ride-on vehicle costs $1,500 and features an edgy design that echoes its larger counterpart. As a result, it sports an edgy design as well as functional head- and taillights. The two-seater is designed for kids between the ages of 6 and 12, and it has a maximum weight capacity of 150 lbs (68 kg).

The $1,500 Tesla Cybertruck For Kids Is Cooler Than The Real Thing

Motivation is provided by a 500 watt (0.7 hp) electric motor, which powers the rear wheels. That’s not much, but it’s enough to allow for a top speed of up to 10 mph (16 km/h). If that’s too fast, you can keep your little speed demons in check by limiting the top speed to 5 mph (8 km/h).

Power comes from a lithium-ion battery pack, which promises to provide a range of up to 12 miles (19 km). The Cybertruck for Kids also has “electric braking,” reverse, and rubber tires. It weighs 158 lbs (72 kg) and measures 66 inches (1,676 mm) long.

The ride-on can only be shipped to the contiguous United States, but it’s currently out of stock. Even those lucky enough to have snagged one of the trucks might not get it until after Christmas as Tesla said deliveries will begin in late December.
