While Tesla insists that the stainless steel body of the Cybertruck is exceptionally strong, we suspect that many owners will be looking to have their trucks wrapped as soon as they take delivery. A company out of Deerfield Beach, Florida has already wrapped one of the first Cybertruck’s in preparation for a Tesla popup at the Art Basel event in Miami and it gives owners of the EV something to look forward to.

To make this Cybertruck stand out even more than a normal example, Von Wraps has clad the entire exterior in matte black. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a matte black Cybertruck as Tesla’s chief designer Franz von Holzhausen drove a similar black example to a Cars & Coffee event in Santa Monica last month.

A series of images and videos show Von Wraps applying the matte black film and thanks to the truck’s almost completely flat body panels, it looks easier to wrap than a vehicle with more complex curves or creases. Ensuring that the modified Tesla stands out even further is a bright blue and pink decal applied to the tailgate with the Cybertruck script.

In October, Tesla introduced an OEM wrapping service for the Model 3 and Model Y at two of its Service Centers in California. These wraps vary from $7,500 to $8,000 and could also be offered on the Cybertruck in the future. However, the carmaker had better work on improving the quality of these wraps or it may have some very upset customers to deal with.

We don’t just expect wrapping companies to see a boom in their business thanks to the launch of the Cybertruck. A host of aftermarket tuners are already working on upgrades for the EV, including Unplugged Performance.
