The tuner’s insane Countach will certainly become the talk of the Tokyo Auto Salon

Famed Japanese tuner Liberty Walk is heading to January’s Tokyo Auto Salon with one of its craziest projects to date; a widebody Lamborghini Countach that is sure to stir debate among the enthusiast community.
This is not the first time that Liberty Walk has ‘widebodied’ a classic Italian supercar. Twelve months ago, it took a Ferrari F40 and comprehensively modified it and according to online rumors (which have not been confirmed by Ferrari), the carmaker was so offended that it removed that F40 from its official registry. As it turns out, Liberty Walk isn’t afraid of causing a little controversy.
A teaser video of its widebody Countach shared on YouTube reveals that it has undergone an arguably even more over-the-top transformation than the F40. Like any good Liberty Walk project, the supercar has been equipped with a distinctive body kit with flared front and rear wheel arches. The changes are a lot more comprehensive than simply some new arches, however.

Liberty Walk’s craftsmen have created a distinctive new bumper for the Countach complete with a massive splitter and aerodynamic canards. The teaser also shows new side skirts, a set of black aftermarket wheels, and an aggressively lowered ride height, likely through an air suspension system.

The rear-end has also been transformed and there is now a new diffuser, quad tailpipes, and a massive rear wing with chassis-mounted uprights.
Details about the history of this particular Countach aren’t known and it is unclear if the car is owned by Liberty Walk or if the owner took it to the tuner to be overhauled. Whatever the case may be, it seems set to be one of the highlights of the Tokyo Auto Salon.
