While the world is excited with the Lancia Delta and R5 Turbo Jimny lookalikes by Damd that will debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024, Suzuki announced its own lineup for the show. The automaker will exhibit a lightly modified version of the new Swift supermini, a preview of the next-gen Spacia Gear equipped with a kitchen, and a rugged version of the Super Carry truck designed for mountain trails.
Starting with the supermini, the Swift Cool Yellow Rev Concept is not a preview of the next-gen Swift Sport, but a custom version of the standard model with a special livery. The Cool Yellow Metallic shade is combined with “Swift” graphics on the profile, dark-gray accents, headlight covers, and a set of black-finished alloy wheels. There is no mention of any powertrain upgrades as the concept was purely designed to announce the arrival of the new generation of the little hatchback.

Next up is the Suzuki Super Carry Mountain Trail Concept, which is probably the most rugged and off-road-capable version of the kei truck. It is painted in an eye-catching golden-yellow shade contrasting the black accents all around the bodywork. The doors and rear bed have been replaced by black metal tubes, with a matching exoskeleton structure protecting the front end, pillars, and roof.
Other special touches include a roof rack with an LED bar, a set of beadlock wheels shod in all-terrain tires, a full-size spare wheel, and a metal skid plate below the front bumper. Unfortunately, the concept isn’t expected to evolve into a production offering as its goal was to prove that light commercial vehicles can be used for fun activities besides work.
Last but not least, the Suzuki Spacia Papa Boku Kitchen Concept looks like a preview of the upcoming Spacia Gear (a.k.a. the adventurous trim of the Spacia) thanks to the redesigned bodykit. It looks different from the Spacia and Spacia Custom, adopting a Jeep-style grille, masked lighting units, a honeycomb intake, and a multi-color livery giving it a crossover stance.
Furthermore, as hinted at by its name, the concept comes with a dedicated kitchen space positioned in the luggage compartment behind the rear seats. According to Suzuki, the kitchen’s goal is to enhance the collaboration between parents and children through cooking activities during family camping trips.
Besides the three main exhibits, Suzuki will also show other vehicles from its lineup including the Swift, Spacia, Spacia Custom, Super Carry, and Solio Bandit. We will learn more information at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2024 set to be held on January 12-14.
