Tesla has finally launched the facelifted Model 3 in North America, bringing a series of exterior, interior, and technological upgrades compared to its predecessor, alongside a longer range. Pricing remains unchanged for the entry-level RWD and the Long Range AWD trims, while the Performance is not available at launch.

The 2024 Tesla Model 3 debuted at the 2023 Munich Auto Show last September and is already on sale in different markets around the world, including Europe and Australia. Starting today, the updated EV is also available in the US and Canada.

Visual changes are focused on the redesigned face with slimmer headlights and the revised taillights at the back. In addition, the US-spec Model 3 has yellow indicators as required by the law. Tesla also added new designs for the 18-inch and 19-inch wheels, plus two new shades for the exterior – the Stealth Grey and the Ultra Red, with the latter being a $2,000 option.

Interior highlights include the 15.4-inch central display, the new 8-inch touchscreen for the rear passengers, a new sound system with up to 17 speakers, configurable ambient lighting, acoustic glass for greater insulation, and materials of improved quality.

Revised Lineup And US Pricing

Tesla

At the moment, Tesla only offers the Model 3 in Rear-Wheel Drive and Long Range AWD versions, although the flagship Performance is expected to return sometime in the future. The entry-level version with a single electric motor completes the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) sprint in 5.8 seconds, and the standard battery is good for a range of 272 miles (438 km). On the other hand, the dual-motor version is quicker as it needs 4.2 seconds for the same sprint, with the long-range battery allowing it to travel 341 miles (549 km) between charges (up from 333 miles).

Despite the important upgrades, pricing remains unchanged compared to the outgoing model. More specifically, the Model 3 starts from $38,990 and the Model 3 Long Range starts from $45,990. Leasing starts from $329 and $439 per month respectively. Note that the Tesla Model 3 became ineligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit in late 2023.
