They say practice makes perfect and this definitely applies to Vietnamese builders of hypercar replicas if you take a look at their latest creation. It’s a Pagani Huayra impersonator that looks rather convincing and could easily fool the untrained eye.

The design of the replica was based on a scale model of the precious Pagani, with photos and detailed 3D models used as references. Everything started with a custom steel chassis and a full-size clay model of the bodywork to serve as a base for the fiberglass panels. Carefully crafted and custom-made details like functional lighting units, the active aero flaps, the quad exhaust pipes, the gullwing doors, and the clamshell hood make the end result stand out from other replicas.

A direct comparison with a genuine Pagani Huayra reveals a few imperfections like the wheel/tire ratio, the slightly oversized mirrors, and the proportions of the rear fascia, but overall the build is quite impressive. The same goes for the interior which is a copy of the original. Still, going the extra mile to create a custom dashboard, steering wheel, seats, and instrument cluster, is proof of the builder’s determination to make something out of nothing.

The chassis, bodywork, and interior of the Pagani replica are made from scratch, but the engine, brakes, and other mechanical components are sourced from an old Daewoo Espero. It was a Bertone-designed midsize sedan from the ’90s featuring GM underpinnings. We don’t know the exact specifications of the donor car but in the replica, the engine was relocated in midship position, mimicking the AMG-sourced twin-turbo V12 of the Huayra.

The skilled team of NHẾT TV YouTube channel filmed the entire process of building the car of their dreams from scratch, proving that hard work pays off in the end. We can only imagine how proud they felt driving the hypercar lookalike on Vietnamese roads after spending so much time on its development.

While there is still room for improvement, this Pagani is probably the best-looking replica coming from the hands of the Vietnamese guys, surpassing all of their previous creations including the Lamborghini Aventador, the Bugatti Chiron, and the La Ferrari. Below, you can see more videos from the development process, highlighting the amount of work required to create a full-size copy of the Italian exotic.
