There are plenty of very powerful and very fast SUVs out there but few are quite as wild as the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. Sure, the ultimate version of the Durango may not be as well known as the Charger and Challenger Hellcat models, nor even the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, but it is one of the finest Hellcat-powered monsters and also one of the rarest.

Unfortunately, production of the standard Durango SRT Hellcat recently ended, meaning interested buyers will have to look to the used market to find one. However, if you’re willing to take a risk to find a potential bargain, this 2023 model listed through IAAI could be a good option.

The following Durango SRT Hellcat is located in Houston, Texas, and on first impressions, appears to be in excellent condition. However, the listing states that it has been stolen in the past and that it is missing the key. The listing doesn’t state if it is missing both keys or just the spare key but given that one photo shows the gauge cluster illuminated, we suspect it is just missing the spare. The listing also confirms that the SUV’s VIN has been damaged, likely by the individual (or individuals) who stole it.

Obviously, there are risks involved in buying a stolen vehicle that has been recovered, including the fact that insuring it could be a pain, particularly given that the VIN has been scratched off. Additionally, it’s safe to assume that the car probably wasn’t treated particularly well when in the hands of the thieves. Fortunately, it is a 2023 model and has only been driven 5,651 miles (9,094 km), but we presume sure it was driven quite hard for many of those miles.
