The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is arriving at U.S. dealerships and the redesigned model starts at $33,950 before a $1,395 destination fee.

The boxy crossover costs $5,200 more than its predecessor and the entry-level SE trim comes equipped with LED lighting units, privacy glass, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Other highlights include an acoustic windshield, a hands-free power liftgate, and a proximity key with remote start.

There isn’t much to say about the interior, but buyers will find stain-resistant cloth seats and a standard third-row. They’re joined by a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 4.2-inch multi-information display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

On the safety front, there’s Blind-Spot Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian, Cyclist, and Junction-Turning Detection. Other standard driver assistance systems include Safe Exit Assist, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Following Assist 2, and Driver Attention Alert with Hands-Off Detection.

Moving up the trim ladder is the $36,450 Santa Fe SEL, which has a lightly revised exterior with roof rails and side mirrors featuring integrated turn signals.

Bigger changes occur inside as the SEL sports a panoramic curved display, leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, and an eight-way power driver’s seat. They’re joined by a wireless smartphone charger, digital key technology, and a fancier HVAC system. Other highlights include Forward Attention Warning and ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert.

The $40,600 Santa Fe XRT is an off-road focused variant that comes standard with all-wheel drive and 18-inch wheels wrapped in 30-inch all-terrain tires. The latter give the crossover approximately 1.3 inches (33 mm) of additional ground clearance.

Besides the off-road focused upgrades, the XRT has dark accents, a sunroof, and a 12.3-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation. The model also has unique trim and Highway Driving Assist.

Buyers looking for more luxury can opt for the $43,350 Santa Fe Limited, which is distinguished by rain-sensing wipers, a dual-pane sunroof, and 20-inch alloy wheels. The model also has heated and ventilated leather front seats with power adjustment.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg as the crossover has a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, and an ambient lighting system. They’re joined by a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, fingerprint recognition technology, and an upper glovebox with a UV-C sanitizer.

The upgrades don’t end there as the Limited comes with additional driver assistance systems including a Blind Spot View Monitor and a Surround View Monitor. Other highlights include Remote Smart Parking Assist, Parking Collision Assist – Reverse, and Park Distance Warning.

The range-topping Santa Fe Calligraphy begins at $46,500 and sports a unique grille as well as larger 21-inch wheels. However, the model is more notable for being equipped with quilted Nappa leather upholstery, second-row captain’s chairs, and an eco-suede headliner. Other niceties include a head-up display, a dual wireless smartphone charger, and “premium” trim. Rounding out the highlights are Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist 2, Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist 2, and a rear camera mirror.

All of the aforementioned models are powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 277 hp (207 kW / 281 PS) and 311 lb-ft (421 Nm) of torque. It’s connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, which can be paired to an all-wheel drive system that costs an extra $1,800 on most trims.

The Santa Fe lineup will expand this spring with a hybrid variant that begins at $36,950. It has a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine, a six-speed automatic transmission, and a combined output of 232 hp (173 kW / 235 PS) and 271 lb-ft (367 Nm) of torque.

The Santa Fe Hybrid largely echoes the standard model, but it has a streamlined lineup that consists of SEL, Limited, and Calligraphy trims. We can also expect improved fuel efficiency, but there’s no word on EPA numbers yet.
