A rare 2017 Dodge Viper ACR VoooDoo II Edition is heading to Mecum’s Glendale event running from March 5-9 and for anyone who is a fan of the iconic Viper, this could prove to be the perfect opportunity to pick up the keys to what is a legendary American performance car.

Dodge unveiled this special model in 2016 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Viper and launched it alongside several other limited-run models known as the Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR, the Viper Snakeskin Edition GTC, and the Viper Dealer Edition ACR.

Just 31 units of the VoooDoo II Edition were built and, according to Mecum, this car is number 21.

The original owner of this car went all out in customizing it, opting for several high-end packages. These include the ACR Package ($19,000), the Extreme Aero Package ($6,900), and the Customer Preferred Package 22K ($6,000), on top of the VoooDoo II Edition package, which itself was an $8,300 option.

The vehicle sports a Venom Black exterior with a silver racing stripe adorned with red accents. Its aggressive appearance is further enhanced by black 19×11 and 19×13-inch wheels, red brake calipers, and a single rear wing end plate painted in red.

A look inside the cabin reveals plenty of black surfaces contrasted with silver stitching and a serialized plaque denoting this as a VoooDoo Edition II. Among the key features include an 8.4-inch infotainment display, a 12-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

Like all other third-generation Vipers, found at the heart of this example is an 8.4-liter naturally-aspirated V10 that in this configuration produces 645 hp at 6,200 rpm and 600 lb-ft (813 Nm). While this is one of the most driver-focused iterations of the Viper, the car has only been driven 270 miles (435 km).

Here’s hoping that whoever buys it in March will use it as intended instead of keeping it a garage queen. You can check out the listing here.
