If you are a dictator, a drug cartel boss, a Fast and Furious vehicle scouter, or just a rich person preparing for a post-apocalyptic future, you need to check out the following listing. The Inkas Armored Riot Control Vehicle is a custom-built truck fully equipped to protect its occupants and disperse crowds. A lightly used example is currently up for sale with a Bugatti-rivaling price of $2.9 million, although civilian use is strictly prohibited.
The special-purpose truck has an armor level of BR7, meaning it can “withstand multiple high-velocity rounds and shrapnel from detonations”. It comes equipped with a high-pressure water nozzle on the roof that can be controlled from the inside, a fire extinguishing system, a height-adjustable ram bumper for moving obstacles and clearing the way ahead, and a surveillance system.
Despite measuring 7,874 mm (inches) long, 2,692 mm (inches) wide, and 2,464 mm (inches) tall, the Riot Control vehicle can only seat four people inside the cabin – and that’s including the driver. It is not clear whether the enclosed rear section has space for cargo, or if it is reserved for the chemical additive tanks and the main 10,000-liter (2,642 gallons) stainless steel water tank.

The truck is based on a Freightliner M2106 RVC chassis and comes fitted with a 6.7-liter 6-cylinder Cummins turbodiesel. The mill produces 325 hp (242 kW / 330 PS) and a monstrous 1,000 lb-ft (1,355 Nm) of torque, which is described as enough to “push stationary vehicles out of the way with ease”. Power is transmitted to four out of the six wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission. This particular truck shows 1,200 miles (1,931 km) on the odometer.
According to the listing on James Edition, the price of the special-purpose truck is a whooping €2,701,715 ($2,899,440), placing it among ultra-expensive exotics.
The truck is also listed on Inkas Armored’s official website, where prospective buyers are greeted by a warning: “This vehicle can be purchased by qualified law enforcement, commercial, or institutional bodies only”. In other words, even if an individual has the necessary funds to add the riot vehicle to their collection, US law won’t allow the transaction unless they present the right credentials.
