Hispano Suiza is ready to celebrate its 120th anniversary with the debut of a new electric hypercar. The Sagrera is set to arrive in June 2024 as an evolution of the Carmen, featuring a revised aero package and a larger battery pack.
Following its announcement last year, the Hispano Suiza Carmen Sagrera appeared in a short teaser video focusing on the large rear wing. This is made of carbon fiber, features gold accents on the profiles, and connects to the center bulge of the tail. The rest of the sculpted bodywork – including the signature round LED taillights – looks very similar to the existing Carmen and Carmen Boulogne that will remain on sale alongside the new derivative.

Hispano Suiza says that the Carmen Sagrera will look sportier than previous models, without compromising the “hyperlux philosophy” of the brand. At the same time, a larger battery pack with a capacity of 103 kWh (up from 80 kWh) will offer an increased driving range.
The company didn’t reveal any information about the fully electric powertrain. The previous Carmen offered a combined 1,005 hp (750 kW / 1,020 PS) from dual electric motors, while the limited production Carmen Boulogne made 1,100 hp (820 kW / 1,115 PS).
If you’re wondering about the new model’s name, it comes from the La Sagrera district of Barcelona, where Hispano Suiza established its first large factory in 1907. We expect to learn more about the Carmen Sagrera before its debut in June 2024. Pricing and availability will likely be similar to the rest of the Hispano Suiza lineup, limiting its appeal to hypercar collectors.
