Honda is getting an early head start with its model year updates as it has announced that the 2025 Pilot will begin arriving at dealerships in the U.S. on March 1, 2024. While this launch is notably early, it introduces a new top-of-the-line trim level called the Black Edition.

As its name suggests, the new trim level that is positioned above the Elite model in the Pilot lineup brings an assortment of dark visual updates. It adds Gloss Black 20-inch alloy wheels, complemented by a glossy black grille bar and upper side mirror housing. Additionally, it showcases black front fascia ducts, window trim, door garnishes, rear bumper garnishes, and Black Edition badging on both the grille and tailgate.

The model also benefits from Honda’s all-wheel-drive system, in addition to red-accented perforated leather seats, and red contrast stitching on the steering wheel, seats, and door panels. The red theming is continued in the accent lighting, and the trim’s name, Black Edition, is embossed on the seats and floor mats.

Honda Pilot Pricing

Prices for the Pilot Black Edition start at $55,675 (all MSRPs include $1,395 destination charge), making it the most expensive model in the lineup. Unfortunately, every model will be more expensive than it was last year. The FWD Pilot Sport, now the base model, starts at $41,295.

While that’s only $300 more than the equivalent model for the 2024 model year, it’s $2,810 more than the 2024 Pilot LX, which used to be the entry level trim, and has now left the lineup. Otherwise, prices have increased by $300 across the lineup, with the exception of the EX-L, where prices are up $800.

Power for every model continues to be furnished by Honda’s 3.5-liter V6, which offers drivers access to 285 hp (212 kW/289 PS). All models are also equipped with Honda Sensing that offers automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, road departure mitigation, lane keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, and more.

Customers who want to make their model even more special can order the HPD (Honda Performance Development) Package, which adds bronze-colored HPD wheels, HPD center caps, and HPD graphics for an extra $2,000. As mentioned above, the 2025 Honda Pilot arrives in dealerships today.
