Alfa Romeo published new photos of the 33 Stradale, this time showing a car finished in Blu Reale with a new set of wheels. The Italian brand chose 3/3 (March 3rd) as a symbolic date for celebrating the 33 Stradale, adding another event to its yearly schedule.

Although most buyers will likely prefer the traditional Rosso Alfa and the “more sophisticated” Rosso Villa d’Este shown during the model’s reveal event, the vibrant Blue Reale is also an interesting option. Notably, this particular blue shade was also available in the 1967 Alfa Romeo 33, and just a single example exists, reportedly in the hands of a Swiss collector who restored it in 2020.

The new Alfa Romeo supercar combines the Blue Reale with glossy black accents and a new set of alloy wheels. The latter feature a more complex design compared to the standard five-spoke phone dial wheels, adopting a more retro approach with with the multiple circular elements and the silver finish. The interior appears to be upholstered in black Alcantara with red accents.

The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale was introduced in August 2023 as a modern reincarnation of the original. The mid-engined supercar is based on the Maserati MC20 but has a limited production of 33 units. It is available with either a twin-turbo V6 delivering 620 hp (462 kW / 629 PS), or a fully electric powertrain producing 750 hp (559 kW / 760 PS).

In a quest to highlight the importance of the number 33, Alfa Romeo mentioned the notable motorsport successes of 1933 when the 8C 2300 won the illustrious Mille Miglia, Targa Florio, and Le Mans races. The other number-related highlights are a bit of a stretch, including the – coincidental – 33 percent growth of Alfa Romeo in 2023 compared to 2022.

The first “33 Stradale Day” won’t include any fancy celebrations but hopefully next year we’re going to see some examples of the supercar participating in a real-life parade. Of course, it will be interesting to see how many owners of the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale will opt for the Blu Reale option, or any other non-Rosso Alfa color.
