The updated 2024 Jeep Wrangler will land on Australian shores in April, bringing with it a new engine and a slightly higher price tag.

All versions of the pre-facelift Wrangler sold in Australia came with the old 3.6-liter naturally-aspirated Pentastar V6 but for 2024, this engine has been ditched in favor of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. This new engine delivers 200 kW (268 hp) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque, meaning it is slightly down on power from the 209 kW (280 hp) of the V6 but has a big torque advantage over the V6’s 347 Nm (256 lb-ft).

Prices for the 2024 Wrangler kick off from AU$75,950 (~$49,300) excluding on-road costs and dealer delivery fees. This is a AU$1,000 ($658) increase over the 2023 model. The entry-level Night Eagle 4DR of last year has been replaced by the Sport S 4DR and comes standard with a Gorilla Glass windscreen, side curtain airbags, rear seat reminder, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, ambient LED interior lighting, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and newly-designed 17-inch wheels.

2024 Jeep Wrangler Heads Down Under With Turbo 4 From AU$75,950

Sitting above the Sport S 4DR in the range is the Overland 4DR available from AU$84,950 (~$55,900). It adds 18-inch wheels, 12-power power front seats, black side mirrors, premium McKinley seats, a soft spare tire carrier, and hard seat back panels. Keen off-roaders can opt for the 2024 Wrangler Rubicon 2DR and Rubicon 4DR, priced from AU$83,950 (~$55,300) and AU$90,450 (~$59,500) respectively.

As in overseas markets, the Rubicon models are the most capable versions of the Wrangler and come standard with Jeep’s Rock-Trac 4×4 system, Tru-Lok electronic front and rear differentials, and an electronic front sway bar disconnect. The Rubicon models also sport a forward-facing TrailCam and Nappa leather seats.

Available options include AU$1,490 (~$980) premium paint, a AU$6,450 (~$4,240) Sky-one-touch power top for the Overland and Rubicon 4DR, and AU$950 (~$625) 18-inch alloy wheels for the Overland.
