Tesla’s decision to not offer any exterior paint finishes on the Cybertruck has helped out plenty of aftermarket tuners that have been wrapping the electric pickup truck in recent months. We’ve seen all kinds of different wraps applied, including gloss black and purple, and recently, a Cybertruck was overhauled with a red exterior finish. But this was something different.
At first glance, you might mistake it for a matte red wrap, but this Tesla is actually adorned with a liquid paint protection film featuring a matte finish that’s designed to emulate the iconic Ferrari hue, Rosso Corsa. While the shade of red looks a little different than the Ferrari color, it is cool to see an owner opt for something unique.

A liquid paint protection film, also known as sprayable PPF or peelable paint, serves a similar purpose to a traditional PPF that is applied by hand, but can be sprayed on like a coat of paint. In these photos and videos shared to the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, it certainly looks special.
The exact price of this liquid PPF remains undisclosed, but it’s speculated to have commanded several thousands of dollars, potentially exceeding the $6,000 to $6,500 range at which Tesla offers its own Cybertruck wrapping service.
Earlier this week, the Cybertruck made headlines as the first instance of Tesla enforcing its anti-flipping policy surfaced. In this case, a Cybertruck owner listed their vehicle for sale on a classified website with an asking price of $242,069. However, before any sale occurred, Tesla’s Loss Prevention team reportedly contacted the owner, notifying them of being blacklisted. As a result, any future orders placed by the owner will be canceled without a refund, and their two other Tesla orders were also canceled.
Tesla’s sales contract for the pickup stipulates that owners can not flip their vehicles unless they first offer Tesla the chance to buy it back. Should owners sell their trucks, Tesla can slap them with a $50,000 fine or take all the profits from the sale.
