It was only a matter of time before Porsche brought a new flagship Taycan to the market as a response to the Model S Plaid and Lucid Air Sapphire. The new Taycan Turbo GT is finally here and so is the official configurator.
In the U.S., prices for the Taycan Turbo GT start at $231,995 with or without the optional Weissach package. The example we’ve dreamt up includes this but we suspect plenty of buyers won’t like the fixed rear wing and the absence of rear seats.
Six standard shades and colors for the car are offered but as with other Porsche models, it is also available with the Paint to Sample and Paint to Sample Plus programs, priced at $13,150 and $30,020 respectively.
A single 21-inch forged wheel is available, which can be finished in either Brilliant Silver, Satin Black, or Satin Neodyme (bronze). Interior options are minimal as all models come standard with the black GT Interior Package with Race-Tex materials or can be optioned with black leather/Race-Tex with silver or blue stitching.

Several optional packages are also available, including a smoking package, a Bose surround sound system, aluminum pedals, illuminated door sill guards, and a fire extinguisher.
Unlike the Model S Plaid and Air Sapphire, the Taycan Turbo GT does not have a tri-motor system but instead uses an upgraded dual-motor setup. In normal driving, it produces 777 hp but this figure climbs to 1,019 hp with launch control and peaks at 1,092 hp for 2-second bursts. It can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.1 seconds with the Weissach package and tops out at 190 mph (306 km/h).
