The latest iteration of the Grenadier maintains the double-cab body and extended wheelbase of the Quartermaster pickup

Ineos unveiled a new version of the Grenadier, designed for specialist vehicles and LCV conversions. The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab is based on the existing pickup, but comes with an exposed ladder frame chassis at the back, serving as a “blank canvas” for aftermarket companies.
The five-seater double-cab body and ladder frame chassis are shared with the Quartermaster Pickup. The same applies to the wheelbase, which is 305 mm (12 inches) longer than the Station Wagon. The Chassis Cab body makes it easier for the Grenadier to convert into a flatbed truck, box van, specialized vehicle for emergency services, or an overlanding camper benefiting from the 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs) towing capability.

George Ratcliffe, Commercial Director at Ineos Automotive, said: “In the first year since the Grenadier launched we have already seen a number of specialist conversions, particularly with emergency services such as fire, police and inshore rescue, so launching the Quartermaster Chassis Cab is a natural step that takes our off-road expertise into many commercial areas that need a class-leading 4X4.”
As with the rest of the Ineos Grenadier family, the Chassis Cab is available with turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder gasoline or diesel engines sourced from BMW, exclusively mated to a ZF eight-speed automatic transmission. It also features heavy-duty solid beam axles, a two-speed transfer case, and up to three locking differentials making it unstoppable off the beaten track.
The Ineon Grenadier Quartermaster Chassis Cab will be produced in the former-Mercedes factory in Hambach, France, right next to the Quartermaster pickup and the Station Wagon models. In the UK, pricing will start from £53,180 ($67,995) excluding VAT.
The Chassis Cab is not the first LCV-friendly variant of the Grenadier as the company already offers a closed-body Utility Wagon body option in two-seater and five-seater configurations with panels instead of rear windows.
