Last month, Dodge revealed the all-new 2024 Charger Daytona, so it stands to reason that we’ve got muscle on the mind. And that got us thinking: what’s the best looking muscle car that’s been available to buy new so far this century?

Although there’s no doubt that the outgoing four-door Charger is a muscle car, you might also categorize it as a super sedan in the mold of a BMW M5, so for simplicity’s sake we’re going to focus on coupes (and convertibles) with two doors, a format that’s been a part of the traditional muscle car formula since the 1960s.

If we included every facelift or performance variant of the muscle cars sold since the Millennium we’d end up with a poll containing more check boxes than an IRS return and Rolls-Royce option list put together.

So we’ve just focused on the distinct generations of cars and we’ll leave it up to you to drop a comment at the bottom of the page and tell us which version of the car you chose is the one you’re voting for.

But even just sticking to the major model changes we were surprised to be reminded how many muscle cars have been available to us over the past quarter of a century.

Including the cars that were launched in the 1990s and still on sale in the early 2000s, we’ve been through three generations of Chevrolet’s Camaro, four Mustangs and, well, just one Dodge Challenger, but the Dodge boys rinsed so much out of that package that it feels like we’ve had three generations of it.

And now we’ve got an all-new two-door Charger Daytona EV, with ICE versions on the way next year. So who did it best? Complete our poll and we’ll revisit the story once the results are in to name one model the greatest looking muscle car of the 21st century.
