If you’ve plopped $2.4 million down on a new pad at the Pagani Residences and are now worried about decorating it, you can breathe a sigh of relief as the company has introduced the new Huayra R simulator. It’s a high-end gaming rig that was developed in collaboration with Racing Unleashed.

As the name suggests, the simulator draws inspiration from the Huayra R and is designed to deliver an “authentically Pagani experience.” This isn’t just some marketing hyperbole as the 122-inch (3,110 mm) rig features carbon fiber that comes from the same autoclaves as hypercars. Pagani added the base has air vents typical of their vehicles to aid in cooling the high-performance gaming computer that runs Assetto Corsa Pro.

Besides the eye-catching exterior, the simulator has the same driving setup as the Huayra R. This means the seat, steering wheel, and pedals all carryover. They’re joined by a large panoramic display as well as milled aluminum components.

The automaker said engineering and design teams worked meticulously to ensure every detail was faithfully recreated. This includes the “handling, dynamics, and aerodynamic effects of the real car, thanks to the three degrees of freedom providing the driver with pitch, roll, and yaw motion cues. All these features were tested and validated in back-to-back trials by professional drivers and development pilots, transitioning from the simulator to the actual hypercar.”

Sound also plays a key role and the simulator has VR headphones, a 5.1 audio system, and kickers integrated into the seat. The experience is said to capture the “distinctive sound of the Pagani V12-R” as well as road vibrations to boot.

Pagani said the simulator is “extraordinarily faithful and immersive” as the “joint design of hardware and software allowed for exceptional realism in reproducing the car’s movements and asphalt characteristics.” Owners can drive individually or book remote coaching sessions to learn new tracks and skills. The company will also host virtual events and owners will be able to organize challenges and races among themselves.

Despite appearing like a high-tech toy for the ultra-rich, Pagani noted the simulator is designed to help owners get familiar with their vehicle, improve their driving skills, and become comfortable on various tracks. This is important as the Arte in Pista program enables customers to “fully experience their vehicles’ performance potential through a rich calendar of exclusive non-competitive events held at the world’s most prestigious FIA tracks.” In effect, owners can learn the track and how their car will handle it before they experience things in real-life.

According to Pagani’s Vehicle Dynamics Lead, Franco Morsino, “We aimed to create a professional, dynamic driving simulator with an extraordinary level of immersion and realism, intending to contribute to the constant refinement of our customers’ driving styles. Our ambition was to transform it into a genuine design object, a product with artistic value destined to occupy a prominent place within the homes of Huayra R owners.”

The simulator will initially be available exclusively to Huayra R owners, although it will eventually be offered to the general public.
