  • Tesla’s CyberHammer is a limited edition sledgehammer inspired by the Cybertruck.
  • You can only get one by referring enough people to buy Teslas (35 referrals).
  • Despite being un-purchasable from Tesla, some CyberHammers are already on eBay for as much as $5,500.

Two months ago, a trademark filing revealed that Tesla was working on a new product dubbed the ‘CyberHammer.’ This new product has now been released and joins a long list of weird Tesla merchandise released over the past few years.

Unlike most other pieces of merch unveiled by Tesla in the past, fans of the brand can’t simply purchase the CyberHammer. Instead, it will be available exclusively as a referral award, offered only to those who have referred enough people to buy their own Teslas. It appears as though interested owners will need to have 35,000 referral credits to spend. It will be released in small quantities and just 800 will be offered.

Unsurprisingly, the CyberHammer has a shape inspired by the Cybertruck. It is angular in profile and includes a small inscription of the all-electric pickup. It also has a ‘Franz’ text, a reference to Tesla chief designer Franz von Holzhausen who infamously swung a dead-blow hammer at the Cybertruck during its original unveiling in November 2019.

Tesla’s Unbuyable CyberHammer Already Hits eBay For $5.5k

Tesla hasn’t specified how strong the CyberHammer is but we doubt anyone will use it like a normal sledgehammer. Chances are, owners will store it and display it. The firm’s trademark filing for the hammer defined it as a piece of “exercise equipment, namely, gym hammers for fitness purposes.”

It hasn’t taken long for a handful of CyberHammers to already appear on eBay. One has been listed for $3,900 and another has a $5,500 Buy It Now price. The cheapest one we can see is $2,500 for number 45 of the 800 examples.
