  • Genesis has revealed their model year updates for 2024.
  • The changes are relatively minor as they include revised pricing, updated equipment, and new exterior colors.
  • Some models, such as the G80, have seen significant price increases.

We’re several months into 2024, but Genesis has finally gotten around to detailing their model year updates. The changes are relatively minor and are largely focused on equipment and pricing.

Kicking things off is the 2024 Genesis G80, which has seen its lineup gutted as the 2.5T RWD Base, Advanced, and Sport Prestige are no longer available. The 3.5T AWD survives and gains additional standard equipment including a WiFi hotspot as well as Advanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and Highway Driving Assist 2. Buyers will also find a newly available Sport Advanced package as well as a Bond Silver Matte paint job.

Genesis giveth and Genesis taketh as power closing doors are no longer available on the 3.5T AWD. The 2024 G80 also loses the Valencia Gold, Verbier Matte White, and Siberian Ice paint colors.

Pricing starts at $54,400 for the G80 2.5T AWD Standard and $64,250 for the G80 3.5T AWD Sport. That’s a sizable jump as the 2023 model began at $50,000.

The changes to the Electrified G80 are less drastic, but include the previously announced Advanced trim. The entry-level model starts at $74,375. Additional changes are limited, but all variants now come with leather seats, white calipers, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Moving on, the 2024 G90 gains dynamic welcome lighting, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and improved rear ‘easy close doors.’ Pricing starts at $89,200 which is $800 more than last year’s model.

On the crossover side, the 2024 GV60 gains a previously announced rear-wheel drive variant that starts at $52,000. This makes it $8,550 cheaper than the Advanced AWD trim. Besides a new entry-level variant, the electric crossover gains additional airbags and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The 2024 GV70 2.5T AWD now comes equipped with 19-inch wheels that are backed up by monobloc front brakes. The Sport Prestige variant also gains ventilated front seats, manual rear door shades, remote smart parking assist, and a Lexicon premium audio system.

The changes to the GV70 3.5T AWD are less extreme, but include newly standard Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 and Highway Driving Assist 2 systems. All trims also gain a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Pricing starts at $45,150 which is an increase of $2,000. However, it’s worth mentioning the 2024 model has already gotten a price hike as the crossover was listed as $44,900 in September.

Brunswick Green and Cardiff Green have been dropped as exterior colors, while the Maroon Brown/Smokey Green two-tone interior is also gone.

The 2024 GV80 starts at $57,700 which is a slight increase of $250. However, you might as well wait for the facelifted 2025 model at this point.
