  • A motorcyclist’s 360-degree camera captures the moment a speeding car slams into him from behind.
  • The Jaguar’s driver apparently lost control of his car that bounced off the guardrail and hit the biker.
  • Thankfully, despite the high-speed collision, the biker amazingly walks away with no serious injuries.

A motorcyclist took his new bike for a spin, equipped with a 360-degree camera to document every moment. Little did he know, he was about to capture footage of a Jaguar sports coupe speeding into the back of him and knocking him off his motorcycle.

This crash reportedly happened in El Paso, Texas just on Sunday, March 31 on US Highway 54. Video first shows a black BMW in lane two speeding by the motorcyclist, Danny Solis, while he is in lane one. Just a few brief moments later a grey Jaguar F-Type appears behind the rider and it’s closing at a rapid pace.

As the Jaguar approaches, the road curves to the left, challenging the driver’s handling abilities. The rear of the car starts to slide out to the right, prompting the driver to make corrective maneuvers. Despite their efforts, the front of the sports car grazes the guardrail. Meanwhile, the car continues to rapidly close in on Solis, and after rebounding off the rail, it collides with him.

Amazingly, the camera continues to record and shows Solis back on his feet less than five seconds after the impact. No doubt, luck has a part to play in that, but the rider was (wisely) wearing his helmet. The Jaguar driver stopped and attempted to render aid and in fact, a man who rushes up to Solis and hugs him immediately after the crash is that driver, says Solis.

Though not caught on film, the BMW driver evidently also lost control and hit a third car. There were no injuries reported in that crash. As far as Solis is concerned, he has one clear message to these two drivers and anyone else who behaves this way: “You want to race? Go to a track. Don’t put others’ lives at risk because you want to show off.”

Clearly, that’s wise advice. Driving at high speeds on public roads is a recipe for disaster. Doing so when one is objectively incapable of handling such driving is a surefire way to go to jail or worse. Thankfully, everyone walked away from this one.
