A few weeks ago, we asked you to pick the best-looking muscle car of the century so far. To put it simply, after a couple of thousands of votes, the Dodge Challenger dusted every other option on the board. Let’s talk about why you love it and what other cars nabbed spots two through five.

Interestingly, it’s the new Dodge Charger that spurred this conversation. It blends a lot of old-school design cues into its updated body and powertrain. That styling wasn’t enough to even put it in the conversation here though as it fell into a tie for sixth place out of nine possible candidates.

Its modern-day Challenger cousin took the win with 864 out of a total of 2,033 votes (as of this writing). That’s right, 42.5 percent of voters sidestepped everything else on the list to select the 2008-2023 Dodge Challenger as the winner. The comments made clear why too. “Purely based on looks? It has to be the Challenger. And I say that as someone who would take the Mustang if I were buying one,” said Chris.

“The retro styling of the Challenger is a classic,” said another commenter. “The Challenger is a modern classic,” said one more. The looks are what stirs the soul initially and it’s clear from you all that the Challenger has them. What about the next four spots though?

Coming in second place with 363 votes is the 2015-2023 Ford Mustang. In fact, it got tons of love in the comment section as well. Even one who specifically said they weren’t an S550 fan said that they recently snatched up a GT500.

Third place went to the latest, and last for now, Chevrolet Camaro from 2016 through 2023. It received 330 votes. Interestingly, the 2010 through 2015 Camaro came in fourth with 172 votes. Had Camaro fans been able to agree on which one was prettier it could’ve been enough for one or the other to snag second place with ease.

Finally, the 2005-2014 Ford Mustang takes home fifth place quite a ways back with just 125 votes. Notably, it outpaced the latest Mustang by 56 votes overall.
