Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus Is Selling More 007 Race Cars For The 2023 Season

Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has just announced that a couple more of its hypercars are available for racing in the 2023 WEC season. The news comes after a number of qualified teams reached out to participate in 2022. For SCG, building enough cars wasn’t possible by June of this year so the carmaker is trying to get ahead of demand for next year.

The cars in question are the 007 LMH and the 007S. The former is the homologated track-only version of the latter. Interestingly enough, the 007 LMH has less than half of the horsepower available in the 007S due to racing regulations that stipulate a maximum allowable output of 670 hp (492 kW).

The 007S makes 1,400 hp (1,044 kW) and is said to be capable of being driven to the track, doing 100 laps, and then driving home without issue. As SCG mentions on its website, Jim Glickenhaus has famously said “If it can’t race the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it’s not that hyper.”

Parties interested in buying the 007 LMH will have to make a pretty serious commitment if they want to be considered by SCG. “The conditions of our LMH offer require the purchaser to commit to the full 2023 WEC/Le Mans season,” says the hypercar maker.

Each 007 LMH will be sold for 2.5 million Euros and a complete spares package will cost a further 2 million Euros according to the posting. The 007S is limited to just 24 examples and SCG promises that’s a real number. “Really 24. Not a promised 40 that turns into 400,” as stated on the site.

Each of those will go for $2.8 million. Buyers who want it can get full race support from SCG on an ala carte basis.
