Pristine 1993 Porsche 968 Has Been Driven Just 17,000 Miles Since New

Is a 1993 Porsche 968 as desirable as a 911 from the same era? For most people, it’s probably not, but viewed as a standalone product and not compared against other Porsche models built at the time, it is a pretty cool car.

The 968 was positioned as Porsche’s entry-level model and replaced the 944. It differs dramatically from the 911 as it is front-engined and takes design inspiration from both the 944 and the V8-powered 928 built between 1977 and 1995.

Finding a well-maintained 968 can prove challenging but if you’re willing to cough up $69,500 to own one, this example for sale in Pennsylvania could be perfect.

This particular 968 has been listed up for sale on Hemmings via Reimel Motor Cars in West Chester. Making this car particularly desirable is the fact that it has been driven just 17,216 miles (27,706 km) since leaving Porsche’s factory and as such, it is in excellent condition.

The listing notes that this is a three-owner car and recently underwent scheduled maintenance costing $6,500 that included the fitment of a new timing belt, water pump, thermostat, hoses, and accessory drive belts. The oil, brake fluid, and clutch fluid have also been recently changed and a number of chassis and suspension upgrades have also been made within the last year. This includes the fitment of a new M030 sway bar and bushings, adjustable front springs, Koni Yellow shock absorbers, and an alignment. It is also sitting on Carrera Cup II wheels and has a BBE catback exhaust.

Adorning the exterior is a color dubbed Midnight Blue Metallic that is contrasted by the Cashmere leather featured on the seats, transmission tunnel, center console, door panels, and the lower half of the dashboard. Like the exterior, the interior has been expertly maintained over the years and almost looks brand new.
