As common as it is to see drivers of Ford Mustangs crashing the pony car, it is far from the only high-powered muscle car in the U.S. that requires a sensitive right foot to operate. Take this Chevrolet Camaro SS, for example.
The current Camaro SS is powered by a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated V8 delivering 455 hp at 6,000 rpm and 455 lb-ft (617 Nm) of torque at 4,400 rpm. Those may not be supercar levels of power but it is more than enough to get the rear tires spinning and that proved to be the undoing of this particular Camaro driver.

While it is unclear where this video was filmed, we can see the driver of the black Camaro stop in the middle of the road and proceed to do a couple of donuts. After this, the driver aggressively pulls away from the scene, flooring the throttle once again. With the traction control system obviously turned off, the Camaro suddenly loses traction and kicks to the left. The driver is unable to correct the slide and ends up losing control, spinning 180 degrees and slamming into a sign post on the side of the road, lifting the car’s rear wheels off the ground.
The video cuts off immediately after the impact so it’s unclear how much damage the car sustained but it probably isn’t that bad, although we can see that the rear of the Camaro did hit an electrical pole and has probably been dented and scratched.
