The new BMW 7-Series has stirred up quite a lot of debate since its unveiling and like with most new BMW models, most of it is about its controversial front end.

The front end of the 7-Series has been completely overhauled and now sports a split headlight design with separate LED daytime running lights and main headlamps. The sedan’s grille has also grown even further and to many, makes the new luxury sedan look absolutely bizarre. Fortunately, online designer Sugar Design has come to the rescue and created a much more aesthetically pleasing version of the new 7-Series.

Every single part of the car’s front fascia has been changed. For starters, the gargantuan kidney grilles have been ditched in favor of a pair of much smaller grilles with bronze accents. Located on either side of the grille are distinctive headlights that also have shiny bronze touches and provide the new 7-Series with an aggressive design.

Sugar Design has also simplified the garish front bumper of the 7-Series and fitted a relatively simple lower grille and slits beneath both of the headlights. The creases on the hood have also been altered.

Despite how controversial BMW’s current design language is, the car manufacturer seemingly has absolutely no interest in reversing course and adopting more conventional designs. That means that we’re simply going to have to get used to split headlights, massive kidney grilles, and altogether polarizing styling choices not just on the new 7-Series but most of its new models.
