The infamous Tesla Cybertruck was recently spotted sporting a new windshield wiper blade and showing off its interior.
The electric pickup may not have been the reason for the event put on by Pacific Gas and Electric at their new Elkhorn Battery Energy Storage System in Moss Landing, California, but it was certainly the centerpiece. The facility uses Tesla Megapack batteries to store excess electricity generated by renewable sources.

The new “Switchblade” wiper was on full display for everybody to see, replacing the giant wiper that the truck was wearing at the Cyber Rodeo in Texas. the wiper is a lot smaller than the precious wiper and doesn’t even appear to cover the entire surface area of the windshield. However, just like the rest of the vehicle, there may be a secret to its operation. a closer look reveals a hinge in the middle, suggesting that it could unfold like a switchblade knife.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk spoke about the operation of the blade: “The wiper is what troubles me most. No easy solution. Deployable wiper that stows in front trunk would be ideal, but complex.”
As long as the wiper clears the federally specified surface area, it will pass the safety standards for production no matter what design it has.

In addition to the trick blade, the interior of the upcoming electric truck was also photographed in full view for the first time by KSBW 8, giving us our best look yet at what to expect in the production version. The first thing that jumps out at us is the yoke-style steering wheel from the Model S and Model X, but with the airbag removed for some reason.
Another new detail is the addition of the instrument cluster, which now sits directly in front of the driver under a trapezoid-shaped bump in the dashboard. The front quarter windows are also visible, and will hopefully improve visibility in the wedge-shaped machine.

When the Cybertruck was originally unveiled in 2019, it didn’t have wiper blades at all, or mirrors. The electric truck had an expected release date of 2021, but delays have pushed the production back to 2023.
