The Polestar 1 may be one of the most gorgeous cars launched in recent memory and a particularly special example has been listed up for auction through Cars and Bids.
Every example of the Polestar 1 is desirable. After all, just 1,500 units were ever produced and it was also the brand’s very first production model. This is a 2021 model, is finished in a shade known as Magnesium, and was formerly owned by Thomas Ingenlath, the chief executive of Polestar.
The design of the Polestar 1 is almost identical to the Volvo Concept Coupe from back in 2013 and has gone on to influence the styling of other Polestar models. We’re particularly fond of the front end with sharp headlights and Thor’s Hammer LED daytime running lights, a large black grille, and the long hood. Further adding to the appeal of the car are the black 21-inch wheels which sit over a set of massive brakes with gold calipers.

While the interior is largely identical to what you’ll find in some high-end Volvo models, it still looks like a lovely place to sit thanks to the plush leather upholstery, panoramic glass roof, carbon fiber trim, heated steering wheel, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, crystal gear knob selector, portrait-oriented 9-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and a thumping Bowers & Wilkins sound system.
The powertrain of the 1 is also quite noteworthy. While Polestar is now an all-electric brand, the 1 features a 2.0-liter turbocharged and supercharged four-cylinder working alongside a pair of electric motors and a 34 kWh battery pack. It pumps out a total of 619 hp and 738 lb-ft (1,000 Nm) of torque. Coupled to the 2.0-liter engine is an 8-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels while the electric motors power the rear wheels.
The listing adds that the car has only been driven ~1,200 miles (~1,900 km) and has a clean Carfax report.
