Carlex Refreshes Previous Porsche 991 Turbo With Hand-Brushed Green Shade And Brown Interior

Carlex Design is known for special commissions of supercars and luxury SUVs, featuring custom paint jobs and interiors. Their newest build is a previous-gen Porsche 911 Turbo which was refreshed via a unique combination of a green exterior shade and brown leather inside.

The model is based on the 991.2 generation of the 911 Turbo which was sold between 2015 and 2018. From a distance, the “Racing Green” special by Carlex Design looks like a regular green Porsche 911 Turbo, but a closer look reveals the uniqueness of the paint. The emerald green paint has been hand-brushed creating this cool glittering pattern.

Another highlight is the forged three-piece alloy wheels painted in a matching emerald green color with a silver rim and copper brake calipers. Finally, there is a set of stripes on the profile featuring “Carlex Racing” lettering.

Things get more special inside the cabin, where every part has been re-upholstered. The light chocolate brown aged leather covers the seats, dashboard, and center console, contrasting with green leather inserts as a reference to the exterior. All the plastic interior parts have been painted green, while the roofliner is covered in Alcantara. The perforated seats feature the Carlex Design crest on the headrests and retro-flavored stitching, the leather-wrapped steering wheel has a duo-tone treatment, and green/silver inserts are added on the dashboard and door cards.

Although some might find it slightly over-the-top, Carlex’ spec breathes new life into the 991.2 Turbo S making it stand out from the crowd. The power output of 572 hp (427 kW / 580 PS) from the stock twin-turbo 3.8-liter boxer engine is enough for mind-blistering performance, even though it can’t match the 641 hp (478 kW / 650 PS) of the newer 992 Turbo S.
