Everrati’s Electric Porsche 964 Widebody Cabriolet Blends Open-Air Driving With 500 HP

Everrati unveiled its latest EV conversion based on the Porsche 964 Cabriolet with a widebody configuration and a 500-hp zero-emission powertrain. The company suggests that the Cabriolet EV is the first of its kind, joining the company’s previous EV conversions of the 964 911 Coupe and Targa.

Everrati’s Porsche 964 Cabriolet retains the classic looks, with subtle modifications on the exterior and inside the cabin. Those are part of a complete restoration before the EV conversion takes place. Interestingly, the owners can revert the 964 to its original ICE-powered specification at any point in the future, preserving its value in the classic car market.

Everrati keeps the exhaust pipes on its Porsche 964 conversions, hiding their EV nature.

The battery-powered 911 is fitted with an electric motor producing either 440 hp (328 kW / 446 PS) or 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS) and 500 Nm (368.8 lb-ft) of torque, which is more than double the figures of the 964 Carrera it is based on. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels allowing a 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) acceleration in less than 4 seconds for the more potent version. The battery has a capacity of 62 kWh, offering a respectable 200-mile (322 km) driving range.

The goal of the conversion was to retain the character of the stock Porsche 964 not only in terms of design but also driving dynamics. For this reason, Everrati did its best to calibrate the weight distribution and the chassis setup as close as possible to a combustion-engine 911. Optionally, the 964 can be fitted with a fully adjustable TracTive suspension.

The model was developed in Oxfordshire, UK, and manufactured with the help of California-based Aria Group which is a renowned firm for low-volume production having collaborated with Singer and Radford. This also means that Everrati’s 964 can be produced on both sides of the Atlantic, and is offered in the UK, Europe, and the US. Everrati didn’t announce the cost for the conversion, but their electric 964 Coupe‘s price ranges between $260,000 – 325,000 plus taxes, not including the cost of the donor car.

The Cabriolet is available in Pure, Signature, and Gulf Signature Editions. Setting aside Porsche conversions, Everrati’s range includes zero-emission variants of the Land Rover Series IIA, the Superformance GT40, and the Mercedes-Benz SL Pagoda.
