Razer, Verizon, and Qualcomm joined forces to announce the Razer Edge Android handheld late last month, offering 5G connectivity and a Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 SoC. Now, we’ve got a full specs list and pricing.
The official website confirms that the Razer Edge is essentially a tablet with a bundled, detachable Kishi V2 Pro controller. The device sports a 6.8-inch 144Hz OLED screen (2,400 x 1,080), the aforementioned Snapdragon silicon, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The new handheld is also equipped with 8GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 5MP front-facing camera (don’t expect rear cameras here). Other noteworthy features include Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6E support, and 3.5mm support via the controller.
Razer is also touting Google Play support as well as access to cloud gaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Razer Edge pricing and availability
The gaming brand has confirmed that the Wi-Fi-only Razer Edge will set you back $399.99, while a Founder’s Edition model is available for $499.99. It seems like this special edition model only differs from the standard variant by including Hammerhead true wireless earbuds. Fancy the Razer Edge 5G? Unfortunately, there’s no word on pricing or availability just yet.

You’re in for quite a wait if you’d like to get your hands on a Wi-Fi model though. These devices are only slated to ship in Q1 2023, but you can pay a $5 deposit right now to reserve one. Unfortunately, this is a US-only release right now.
Either way, the price puts it on par with the cheapest Steam Deck. The $400 price tag also means it’s more expensive than the Nintendo Switch and Logitech’s recently announced (but less impressive) G Cloud Gaming Handheld.
