Tesla is offering 10,000 miles of free Supercharging to buyers in the United States and 10,000 km of free Supercharging miles to shoppers in Canada who take delivery of a new Tesla vehicle this month.
The electric automaker routinely pushes to ramp up deliveries at the end of each quarter and often encourages sales with incentives. Tesla is already offering U.S. buyers of the Model 3 and Model Y a $7,500 discount for taking delivery on or before December 31 and hopes that the free Supercharging miles/kilometers will help to increase sales even further.
The free Supercharging credits expire after two years and can not be transferred to a new owner.
It’s not just shoppers in the United States and Canada that can take advantage of this deal. In fact, Tesla announced a similar incentive to buyers in the UK last week , confirming that they would receive 6,000 miles of free Supercharging if they take delivery before the end of the year.
Tesla’s new push of incentives comes in the midst of what looks like weakening demand for the company’s vehicles. By the end of Q3, the car manufacturer had delivered 908,573 vehicles, slightly less than the number of vehicles they delivered in 2021. Unless Tesla starts accepting orders from other planets, this means there’s no chance the company will achieve its target of a 50 per cent growth in deliveries year-over-year.

Word of the free Supercharging credits in the United States and Canada comes shortly after it was revealed that Tesla plans to establish a new factory in Mexico. The car manufacturer’s new site is expected to be located in the border state of Nuevo Leon, near factories already operated by Kia and General Motors.
