Lexus has made a series of minor updates to Japanese market the 2023 RC and RC F as the two models enter their 10th year in production.

These changes begin with the fitment of new hub bolts for the wheels of both the RC and RC F, something that Lexus says helps to improve steering performance and reduces unsprung mass. Additionally, alterations have been made to the characteristics of the AVS and EPS systems to further improve steering stability and ride comfort.

Lexus’s design team has also created a set of new Enkei wheels for ‘regular’ RC models as well as a new forged wheel design for the RC F that was produced by BBS and is offered in gloss black and a two-tone silver and black finish.

A series of improvements have been made to the Lexus Safety System+ of all Lexus models. Alterations have been made to the monocular camera and millimeter-wave radar so it can now detect cyclists during the day, pedestrians at night, and oncoming vehicles approaching from the front before turning right or left at an intersection. The car’s Lane Tracing Assist has been improved to keep it centered in the lane. Radar cruise control has also been added as has a Road Sign Assist system that reads important road signs and displays them on the instrument cluster.

The interior has been updated with a new infotainment screen. All RC F models now come standard with an electronic parking brake, as opposed to the foot parking brake it used to feature.

Lexus has only announced these upgrades for the Japanese market and it remains unclear when buyers in other markets will be able to get their hands on the updated model.
