This story contains renderings for a fictional RS2 by Abimelec Design that are neither related to nor endorsed by Audi.
The Audi RS2 name may be not as familiar to some as the likes of the RS3, RS4, RS5, and RS6 but those that are aware about it, know that the RS2 is quite a special thing.
Indeed, the RS2 was launched in the 1990s as an exciting new performance car from Audi and it could now be considered as the ancestor to all current Audi Sport models. Most RS2s you’re going to come across are completely stock but Abimelec Design has produced some compelling images that showcase how it could look if it underwent some significant alterations.
In creating this wild RS2, finished in a bright shade of pink dubbed Ruby Stone Red, Abimelec Design took some inspiration from RWB’s Porsche creations, equipping it with a set of flared front and rear wheel arches that transform the entire look of the car.
Various other modifications have been made. For example, the RS2 features a pronounced new front splitter finished in black and is also rolling on a set of aftermarket wheels with black spokes and chrome outer lips. A handful of gold badges are also fitted.

So, why does this RS2 have a Porsche paint color and a widebody kit design for the Porsche 993 911? Well, Porsche actually played a pivotal role in the creation of the RS2. Indeed, it modified the car’s 2.2-liter inline-five engine, fitting it with a larger turbocharger, a new interooler, camshaft, and a bespoke ECU, helping it to deliver 311 hp and 302 lb-ft (410 Nm) of torque. The RS2 also left the factory with Porsche brakes, 911 Turbo wheels, and a bespoke suspension setup from Porsche.
