This story includes renderings of a fictional SF100 concept created by independent designer @ur_jeen that is neither related to nor endorsed by Ferrari.

Until the next Ferrari hypercar arrives, the electrified SF90 Stradale remains the flagship of the Maranello range. While we are waiting for Ferrari to unveil a hardcore variant in 2023, a design student envisioned the next generation of the plug-in hybrid supercar in the form of the digital-only Ferrari SF100 concept.

The concept was created by @ur_jeen, currently studying Automotive Design at the Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea. At first glance, the proportions of the SF100 are very similar to the SF90, although a closer look reveals the two supercars have nothing in common.

At the front, the design student opted for a simpler styling approach for the nose and the LED headlights. The bumper has smaller intakes but a more pronounced chin. The highlight of the SF100 is the full-glass canopy without a partition between the windscreen and the roof – which would pose a challenge for a possible Spider version.

The profile retains the bulged front and rear fenders but features different side intakes that admittedly do not look as refined as the ones in the current SF90. The mirrors are presumably replaced by cameras, while the five-spoke alloy wheels with the yellow-painted calipers have OEM looks.

The tail is probably the coolest part of the digital concept looking meaner than anything we have seen in a while. The rounded square shape of the SF90’s LED taillights has evolved into four independent lines, with an active rear spoiler above them. The glass engine cover is the centerpiece of the rear deck, while the narrow rear windshield is curved similar to Ferrari models from the past. The diffuser is more discreet than in the SF90, integrating dual exhaust pipes and an F1-style brake light, flanked by large air outlets on the rear bumper.

The designer didn’t go into specifics about the powertrain and fictional specs of the concept, other than stating that it retains a plug-in hybrid setup. Judging from the recently revealed Ferrari Vision GT Concept, Maranello’s electrified offering could produce up to 1,016 hp from the twin-turbo V6 engine and an extra 322 hp (240 kW / 326 PS) from a trio of electric motors. This sounds like a healthy improvement compared to the stock SF90’s combined output of 986 hp (735 kW / 1,000 PS) which is already more than enough.

Would you like the next-gen hybrid mid-engined Ferrari supercar flagship to look like this? What would you change in the current SF90 Stradale?
