Toyota announced today that when the brand-new Grand Highlander goes on sale this summer, it will give 500 customers a new Nintendo Switch OLED Model portable gaming console.

“This is an amazing collaboration between Toyota and Nintendo,” said Lisa Materazzo, group vice president of Toyota Marketing. “The Grand Highlander and the Nintendo Switch are the ultimate duo for families and road trips.”

Toyota unveiled the new, three-row Grand Highlander ahead of the Chicago Auto Show this week. A mid-size, unibody SUV with seating for up to eight, the vehicle has enough room in the trunk to fit seven carry-on suitcases, even with all seats occupied.

It is, therefore, positioned as a vehicle for large families going long distances, so a Nintendo Switch is the perfect companion for the vehicle. The new OLED model increases the size of the screen to seven-inches (from 6.2).

Equipped with a controller that can be split into two for multiplayer fun, the Switch is ideal for couch co-op games—or, in this case, bench seat co-op games. With it, Toyota will also give the 500 recipients of the system a copy of Mario Kart 8, the latest racing game in the series.

“Nintendo Switch – OLED Model and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game will add an extra boost of excitement to road trips this summer,” said Devon Pritchard, Nintendo of America’s executive VP of Sales, Marketing and Communications. “What makes this promotion with Toyota so exciting is that the Nintendo Switch system can be played on the go, as well as on the TV, so anyone that hops in their Grand Highlander can take the system with them and keep the gameplay going.”

To celebrate the announcement, Toyota created a custom-wrapped Grand Highlander themed after the Nintendo Switch OLED Model. It will be on display at the Chicago Auto Show between February 9 and 19.

Offered with two hybrid powertrains, the Toyota Grand Highlander makes up to 362 hp (270 kW/367 PS) and 400 lb-ft (542 Nm) of torque. The automaker says that it will announce pricing and an on-sale date this summer.
