Volkswagen recently unveiled the three-row ID. Buzz in California, but it wasn’t alone as the electric van was accompanied by an art car and a cool concept.

Starting with the latter, the ID. Buzz Accessories Concept is designed to be an adventures’ best friend as it has everything you need for a weekend at the beach or in the great outdoors.

To haul your toys, there’s a roof-mounted Thule Caprock platform that has been outfitted with a Board Shuttle attachment. The concept also sports an OutLand Side Awning, which provides protection from the elements while also making your base camp feel a little cozier.

When it comes time for a little R&R, there’s a modular kitchen and bed unit from Ququq. The former boasts a pullout drawer with a two-burner stove and storage underneath. The kitchen also houses a cooler and a sink with water storage above.

For overnight adventures, there’s a two-person bed and a universal tablet holder to provide entertainment. Other Volkswagen accessories include ID. Buzz door sill plates, all-weather floor mats, and a rear bumper protection plate. They’re joined by VW-branded valve stem caps and a Volkswagen license plate frame.

The concept was shown alongside an assortment of lifestyle accessories that can be purchased from drivergear.vw.com. These include a $949.95 surfboard and a cool Solo Stove that retails for $119.95.

In other ID. Buzz news, the company displayed an art car based on the Euro-spec van. It features “Love the Earth” written in 25 languages including Māori and Navajo.

Volkswagen says the design was “inspired by a poster Dr. Bob Hieronimus created in 1972 for Earth Day, as commissioned by the holiday’s originator.” As part of this effort, Hieronimus worked with graphic design specialist Tim Wygal to create the one-off van.

As a refresher, the ID. Buzz will arrive in the United States next year and feature a 91 kWh battery that powers a rear-mounted motor developing 282 hp (210 kW / 286 PS). A dual-motor all-wheel drive system will also be available and it boosts the output to approximately 330 hp (246 kW / 335 PS).

While the van is still months away from going on sale, Volkswagen Group of America CEO Pablo Di Si is already cautioning dealers against markups that could damage the van’s launch as well as the brand’s relationship with customers. Automotive News reports he said, “We cannot have markups” and “We cannot make a mistake [with] this vehicle.”
