The Audi R8 has some Lamborghini bits under the skin, but always looked less extravagant than the supercars from Sant’Agata. An owner from Malaysia decided to change that, fitting his first-gen R8 with a custom bodykit that is mainly inspired by the second-gen R8 but also features a Lamborghini-style tail.

The uniqueness of this R8 is attributed to the bodykit which is a custom order from a Malaysian shop called Puzzle Bodykits. Only the greenhouse, doors, mirrors, and fuel cap are carried over from the original first-gen R8, with the rest of the body panels being custom-made.

The front bumper with the oversized intakes, prominent splitter, headlight extensions, wide vented fenders, and matching bonnet looks like a modified second-gen R8. The profile is also significantly altered, swapping the signature blades with more conventional side intakes, while the bespoke rear fenders have integrated inlets and a set of large fins. The model sits on a new set of white-painted aftermarket alloy wheels and adopts an ultra-lowered stance thanks to the air suspension.

The tail is the most striking part of the build, as it looks more like Lamborghini than Audi. A set of larger round tailpipes have been repositioned higher in a similar manner to the Huracan STO, the wing is reminiscent of the Huracan Tecnica, while the lower portion of the tail is covered by a massive diffuser inspired by the likes of the Sian and the Centenario limited-production bulls.

Audi R8 “Pinky” Has Wild Custom Bodykit With A Lamborghini Twist

As a finishing touch, the flashy pink paint was made to order by the Malaysian paint shop KarMing Spray, with the detailing done by Advanced Pro Detailer including a carbon look for the black-painted panels and custom black stickers.

Despite the extensive exterior modifications, the model remains a V8-powered fist-gen Audi R8 under the skin. The German model shared its platform with the Lamborghini Gallardo and came fitted with a 4.2-liter TFSI engine that produced 414 hp (309 kW / 420 PS) in the pre-facelifted form, or 424 hp (316 kW / 430 PS) after the mid-lifecycle update.

The Lambo-inspired Audi may be too flashy for fans of the R8 but it will certainly not go unnoticed in the streets of the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
