The advent of vehicle wraps has allowed people with the money and the inclination to do a lot more exploring when it comes to exterior colors. One Porsche 918 Spyder owner decided to see what their car would look like with all of the exterior colors.

In photos and videos recently published on social media, the Dutch vehicle customizing shop Next Level Cars showed the process of applying a red, yellow, blue, and green wrap to the exterior of their hybrid supercar.

The car is, of course, a nod to the VW Polo and Golf Harlequin. For the third generation of its hatchbacks, the automaker created and sold examples that had each individual body panel painted a different color. The cars were both a richly hued mishmash and a nod to a VW ad from the ’60s, that showed the Beetle in a similarly vibrant paint scheme.

Next Level Cars managed the trick impressively in areas such as the off-color bumpers and doors, it also leads to a few awkward areas, such as the tiny space behind the doors. However, taken together, the design is a definite success.

Too good a wrap to be cooped up in a garage, the 918 Spyder was shown off recently at the Sportwagentreffen Velden 2023. Held in Velden am Worthersee, along the shores of the same lake where the legendary Golf GTI festival, Wortherseetreffen, took place, the car was certainly in its element for the supercar showcase, as you can see below.
