Mercedes has taken to social media to announce the all-new CLE Coupe will be unveiled on July 5th at 5 p.m. CEST (11 a.m. EST).

Set to replace the C- and E-Class Coupes, the CLE will battle the BMW 4-Series Coupe and eventually be followed by convertible and AMG variants.

While the teaser image isn’t very revealing, the coupe will follow in the footsteps of the C-Class sedan and adopt a single bar grille that is flanked by sweptback headlights. They’ll be joined by a rakish windscreen that flows into a sloping roof. We can also get a glimpse of the angular rear end, which features distinctive taillights.

Mercedes CLE Coupe Debuts July 5 As C- And E-Class Coupe Successor

Previous spy photos have shown the C-Class inspired design will continue in the cabin and this means we can expect a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster as well as an 11.9-inch infotainment system with a portrait orientation.

Mercedes is staying tight-lipped on specifics, but EPA documents have suggested the company will offer 300, 450, and 53 variants in the near future. The CLE 300 will likely echo the C 300 and feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 255 hp (190 kW / 259 PS) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque.

Likewise, the CLE 450 should mimic the E 450 and have a 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine producing 375 hp (280 kW / 380 PS) and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm) of torque. If that isn’t enough, the Mercedes-AMG CLE 53 is slated to have a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with 429 hp (320 kW / 435 PS) and 413 lb-ft (560 Nm). It enables the GLE 53 to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.9 seconds, so the coupe should be even quicker.
