The 2025 Mercedes CLA has been spied and it will be offered with an assortment of eco-friendly powertrains

Work continues on the 2025 Mercedes CLA as spy photographers have caught the redesigned model undergoing hot weather testing in Spain.
Looking virtually identical to the prototype that was spied in February, the next-gen four-door coupe is heavily disguised but will be instantly recognizable. Details are hard to make out, but the model features a wide grille that is flanked by larger headlights. Further below, we can see sizeable intakes that are hidden by camouflage.
The evolutionary styling continues further back, but the redesigned model appears slightly longer and adopts streamlined bodywork. We can also see a revised greenhouse, which features a more angular aesthetic. Elsewhere, there are traditional door handles rather than the flush-mounted units seen on previous prototypes.

Out back, there’s an evolutionary bumper with a sculpted license plate recess. The exhaust has also been hidden away as this particular prototype features a single downward pointing tip underneath the vehicle.
The redesigned CLA will ride on the new Mercedes Modular Architecture (MMA) and is slated to be offered with internal combustion engines as well as plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains. Dealers were shown the EV earlier this year and it will reportedly arrive in 2024 with approximately 400 miles (644 km) of range.
Mercedes hasn’t said much about the car at this point, but the automaker has already announced the Rastatt and Kecskemét plants will begin producing vehicles based on the MMA platform starting next year. Previous reports have also suggested we can expect another CLA Shooting Brake, although this could be the last one as the company is reportedly gearing up to phase out wagons altogether.
