The Ford Bronco is waving goodbye to its small-wheeled, inexpensive base trim level and, for 2024, the lineup will open with the Big Bend model. That means that the SUV will come with more equipment as standard, but its base price will also go up.
Whereas the base model Bronco formerly cost $37,430, the new entry-level model starts at $41,025 (including $1,895 destination charge), or $3,595 more. However, that replaces the 16-inch wheels with 17-inchers that are wrapped in 32-inch, all-terrain tires, and adds LED fog lights, a leather wrapped steering wheel and more.
Meanwhile, inside, drivers and passengers will likely notice a big infotainment change, too. With the base model goes the eight-inch touchscreen, and the 12-inch alternative has been made standard across the range.

Ford claims that the decision to drop the base model Bronco from the lineup was taken to better align the SUV with customer needs, per The Drive. In addition, it will also have the benefit of speeding up manufacturing times.
Elsewhere in the lineup, the Everglades trim will be returning to the Bronco lineup for 2024. Powered by the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission, it gets an advanced 4×4 system with a 67.8:1 crawl ratio. It also gets a winch kit and an air intake snorkel, in addition to a variety of other off-road goodies.
Finally, the Badlands trim gets a standard Heavy Duty Modular Front Bumper, and the high-performance Bronco Raptor will get two new colors (Shelter Green Metallic and Velocity Blue) as well the Code Orange package which adds motorsport-inspired orange highlights to the SUV.
