The McLaren 675LT is an impressive car, thanks to a high-output twin-turbo V8, active-aero, and F1-derived technology. No less an authority than nine-time World Rally Champion, Sebastien Loeb, said it “drives like a road-legal racecar,” and you could find out what he’s talking about, because he’s now selling his 2017 675LT Spider.

Based on the same platform as the 650S, this model took inspiration from the legendary McLaren F1 GTR, whose long-tail body style has long inspired awe in enthusiasts. It was also updated to feature larger carbon-ceramic brake discs, lightweight 10-spoke forged alloy wheels, and the increased use of carbon fiber throughout.

Thanks to those updates, and the already lightweight carbon-composite chassis, the 675LT Coupe weighed in at 2,712 lbs (1,230 kg) dry, while the open-top Spider added another 88 lbs (40 kg) to the car.

You Could Own Rally Legend Sebastien Loeb’s Custom McLaren 675LT Spider

Despite that moderate increase, the 675LT Spider can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 2.9 seconds, and can continue accelerating to 124 mph (200 km/h) in just 8.1 seconds. At full tilt, it reaches a top speed of 203 mph (326 km/h).

Just 500 McLaren 675LT Spiders were made, and this one was finished in Chicane Gray. The color is complemented by a black and orange interior and orange brake calipers. It is also equipped with an Alcántara-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel with carbon fiber shift paddles to control the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission that is attached to the 666 hp (496 kW/675 PS) twin-turbo V8.

It came into the possession of rally legend Sebastien Loeb in 2019, meaning that a good percentage of the 5,493 miles (8,840 km) on the odometer were put on there by the most successful rally driver of all time.

Now, you can put some miles on it, too, as the car is being offered at RM Sotheby’s St. Moritz 2023 auction. Set to go on sale on September 15, estimates suggest that the McLaren 675LT Spider will go for between $290,000 and $360,000 when the hammer drops.
